FIFA confirmed in December 2024 that Morocco, Spain and Portugal will host the 2030 World Cup. It will be the second World Cup played in Africa, after South Africa 2010.
To mark the tournament's centenary, three opening matches will be played in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, before the competition moves to the three host countries.
